Badhit Bal Vikas
Kendra, Kota an NGO (Non Government Organization) registered under
the Rajasthan Society Act, 1958 was founded on the request of Shri
Ganeshilal Raniwala & Shri Mahendra Kumar Raniwala in the year
1975 with seven disabled students & one teacher in a rented
building.
Idea emerged in the mind of Shri Mahendra Kumar Raniwala, elder
son of Shri Ganeshilal Raniwala, and in 1975 both have decided to
start a school for deaf & blind children. They consulted with Late
Shri C. R. Das, a close friend of Shri Ganeshilal Raniwala, with a
deep thought taken with five other members, namely: Late Shri
Sitasharan Devliya, Sardar Daljeet Singh Sethi, Shri Kundan Lal
Madan, Shri Nemi Chand Shah and Shri Trilokchand Kothari. Since
then Shri Mahendra Kumar Raniwala is continuously working with his
father for the development of the school.
It was their
sincerity & dedication that motivated to work hard, to mobilize
public opinions, raise resources, and undertake projects for the
growth of this establishment. Since 1975 when they started
managing the affairs of this society, both have contributed very
significantly in various departments towards the growth of this
organization. Due to their initiative, sincerity and involvement,
today the society has its own building and infrastructure
maintaining a big family of more than 147 human beings.
Society is running
a school upto VIII standard for Deaf and Blind students, which is
permanently recognized by the Education Department, Govt. of
Rajasthan. Society is 3rd of its kind in the Rajasthan state and
having the 1st Position in Haroti area which is serving the remote
& interior areas of Kota Division.
The Society has its
own hostel running since 1986 for the scholars with Free
Accommodation, Lodging and Boarding Facilities along with Free
Education and Vocational Training, Light, Water, Games and Sports
Facilities. At present, besides day scholars, 116 students
belonging to nearby rural areas are living in hostel. 32 persons
in all, including the teaching staff are on roll of the society.

The Society was
honored at District Level on the 26th of January, 1990 and at
State / Federal Level on 17th March, 1991 for its best services
given to handicapped. On account of the Society's best services
towards the Handicapped in this area. It was awarded with a
Running Shield by District Rehabitation Centre and Social Welfare
Department in the year 1998-99.
Vocational training is
imparted to its beneficiaries alongwith the stated syllabus and
the books. So far all the handicapped students who have been
educated and vocationally trained are leading happy family life
with their self-employment in the society. Organization makes the
students self-dependent and tries to get them employed at its
level best.
State Institute of
Education Research and Training (SIERT), Udaipur, India and Badhit
Bal Vikas Kendra (BBVK) jointly organized the camps to train
teachers of Rajasthan State involved with deaf, blind and
handicapped children. Camps were organized during January 14,1985
to January 19, 1985 & December 16, 1987 to December 18, 1987 here
at BBVK and successfully conducted.
It is not out of
place to mention here that one outgoing student of this
institution studied in Washington, USA; who is looking after his
organization successfully.
BBVK is in the
process of creating an awareness by showing love and affection.
Institutional efforts paved the way for giving new life to
thousands of Deaf and Blind who are being rehabilitated every year
with the sense of gratitude.
Besides key
leaders, the organization is also backed by a trust/committee
involving expert opinions from the leading entrepreneurs and
various professionals at all times.
